Since your IDX Broker service is provided online, you may run into issues where the changes you make to the account are not immediately visible. More often than not, this is caused by a process called caching, where the web browser stores information such as images, HTML, style sheets, and so on in order to reduce the time it takes for pages to load.
How do I clear my browser cache?
If you are working on your IDX Broker account often, it is good practice to clear out your browser cache. Below are a number of ways you can clear your cache using different browsers:Internet Explorer
For most troubleshooting, you will want to clear your cache entirely, so be sure to select 'Beginning Of Time' as an option when prompted to choose a time range.
How do I hard refresh my browser?
Chrome:
Windows/Linux:
- Hold down Ctrl and click the Reload button next to the search bar.
- Or, Hold down Ctrl and ⇧ (Shift) and then press R.
- Or, open the Chrome Dev Tools by pressing F12. Once the chrome dev tools are open, just right click on the refresh button and a menu will drop down. This menu gives you the option of doing a hard refresh, or even clearing the cache and do a hard refresh automatically.
Mac:
- Hold ⇧ (Shift) and click the Reload button.
