Weebly allows you to add IDX Broker content in two main ways:
- Embed IDX Broker widgets using custom code
- Link to IDX Broker hosted pages from the Weebly navigation menu

IDX Broker pages are hosted separately from Weebly, but they can still be connected to a Weebly website through:
- widget embed code
- navigation links
- external page links
Common IDX Broker content added to Weebly includes:
- property search widgets
- featured listing widgets
- map widgets
- lead capture widgets
- IDX search pages
- IDX results pages
- Saved Links
Add IDX Widgets to Weebly
IDX Broker widgets can be embedded into Weebly pages using Weebly’s Embed Code element.
Step 1: Open the Weebly Site Editor
Log in to Weebly and open the site editor for the website you want to update.
Step 2: Add an Embed Code Element
In the Weebly editor:
- Go to the Build area.
- Find the Embed Code element in the left sidebar.
- Drag the Embed Code element onto the page.
Step 3: Copy the IDX Broker Widget Code
In the IDX Broker Dashboard:
- Navigate to Designs → Widgets → Manage
- Locate the widget you want to embed
- Click the widget code icon under the Tools column
- Copy the script code from the pop-up window
Step 4: Paste the Widget Code into Weebly
Return to the Weebly editor and paste the IDX Broker widget script into the Embed Code element.
Save and publish the Weebly page to test the widget.
HTTPS Note
If the Weebly site uses HTTPS, make sure HTTPS is also enabled for the IDX Broker pages.
This helps prevent:
- mixed-content warnings
- blocked scripts
- broken widgets
- browser security issues
Add IDX Pages to Weebly Navigation
IDX Broker hosted pages can be added to the Weebly navigation menu as external links.
Step 1: Open the Pages Menu
In Weebly:
- Click Pages in the top menu
- Choose the option to add a page
Step 2: Select External Page
From the page options:
- Select External Page
- Enter a page name, such as:
- Advanced Search
- Property Search
- Map Search
- Featured Listings
Step 3: Copy the IDX Page URL
In the IDX Broker Dashboard:
- Navigate to Designs → Pages
- Locate the IDX page you want to link
- Open the page or click the page link option
- Copy the IDX page URL
Step 4: Add the IDX URL to Weebly
Paste the IDX Broker page URL into the Weebly External Link field.
Save and publish the site.
Best Practices
Use Clear Navigation Labels
Examples:
- Search Homes
- Advanced Search
- Map Search
- Featured Listings
- Communities
Test the Published Site
After publishing, verify that:
- IDX widgets load correctly
- IDX page links open correctly
- HTTPS works as expected
- mobile layout displays properly
Keep IDX and Weebly URLs Consistent
If using a custom IDX subdomain, use that branded URL in navigation.
Example:
https://search.example.com/idx/search/advanced
Common Issues
Widget Does Not Load
Check that:
- the full widget script was copied
- the script was pasted into an Embed Code element
- the Weebly page was published
- HTTPS is enabled if needed
IDX Link Opens Outside the Website
This is expected when linking directly to IDX hosted pages unless wrappers or custom domains are configured.
To create a more seamless experience, use:
- a custom IDX subdomain
- a wrapper that matches the Weebly site design

To add IDX Broker to Weebly:
- Use Embed Code to place IDX widgets on Weebly pages.
- Use External Page links to add IDX hosted pages to Weebly navigation.
