At IDX Broker, we take the raw data from every MLS and turn that into several different tools that you can use for your real estate website. However, we need to get approval from your MLS board before this data can be publicly displayed online.
However, you can still log into your account after signing up for IDX Broker so that you can familiarize yourself with our service and make sure that you are ready to go as soon as your MLS approves access to the data.
When you first sign up for IDX Broker, you will receive a welcome email that has your username and password to access your IDX Broker account, as well as a 5-digit Access Code to preview what your pages would look like with live MLS data. While we are awaiting the MLS’s approval for your account, your IDX pages will not be visible to the public unless they use the Access Code.
If you need to locate your Access Code, log into your IDX Broker account, then click Home in the main menu, then Access Control in the submenu.
Click on the Access Code tab to see your Access Code controls. To generate a new Access Code, click the blue New Access Code button. Your Access Code will appear in green on the left side of the screen. You can also revoke your Access Code by clicking the red Revoke Access Code button. Revoking this will prevent anyone using that Access Code from accessing your IDX pages.
Note: Generating a new Access Code when you already have one will replace your existing Access Code.
Type in the Access Code and complete the reCAPTCHA section, then click the blue Unlock Account button. After entering your Access Code, you can check the box next to Remember this device to bypass this screen and view your IDX pages directly.
Note: Once you have logged in with your Access Code, this will create a cookie in your web browser. If you do not click Remember this device, the pages will be unlocked for 1 hour. If you do click Remember this device, you do not have to enter the Access Code for 24 hours. After 24 hours, you will have to enter the Access Code again. If you clear out your cookies or your browser cache, you will need to input the Access Code again to view your IDX pages.
