2. Sign up for an IDX Broker account
To get access to the listing data from your MLS, you will need to sign up for an IDX Broker account.
3. Complete Instructions from MLS Coordinators
Once you submit the order form, IDX Broker’s team of MLS coordinators will contact you via email with MLS instructions to ensure your paperwork is compliant with all MLS rules and requirements. Your MLS will then review the request. Once paperwork is approved for IDX usage, your account will be activated.
4. Get Your API Key
Once your IDX Broker account is activated, you will receive a Welcome Email with the API key needed to link IDX Home Search with your account. Open the email and copy the ‘API Key’ provided.

5. Add MLS/IDX Listings Option
Back in your GoDaddy account, click on the green “+” or the blue “Add Section” button under “Home”. Select ‘MLS/IDX Real Estate Listings’ to add this area to a page. This option is suggested by GoDaddy with a star.
6. Add Search and Settings
You should see a basic search widget appear on your page. On the right, you can choose the background color, background image, and the title to customize the way the widget looks.
7. Link Your API Key
In the settings for the ‘MLS/IDX Real Estate Listings’ page, paste the ‘API Key’ from Step 4 into the ‘Enter API Key’ section. Once you have done that, click ‘Publish’ to put the search on your website and you are finished!
